Poem about poem

To some, poems may be a lie,
but some may make others cry.
Whichever that is rhythmic,
will make it very fantastic.

The ideal I&E class

Our class should be a place where we can have a good surrounding for learning. We should respect each other, so this way everyone can be able to focus on what they want to do. We must learn to control our volume so as not to distract other people from learning.

Randy Pausch - The Last Lecture

I chose the excerpt 'The Last Lecture' as it inspires us about how a person can be able to spend his limited time even though he suffered from tumors in his liver. The man, Randy Pausch, struggles whether to conduct his lecture or celebrate his wife's birthday. This excerpt shows how difficult it is to choose between two things which are equally important to him as only one of the two can be done during his last few months of having pancreatic cancer. I think the two phrases that can relate me are "If we had to vanish tomorrow, what would we want as our legacy" and "What do I, alone, truly have to offer?". The first phrase to me should be known everyday; If we everyday treat that we will vanish the next day, we will have to contribute as much to make our legacy be good enough. The second phrase is to tell ourselves whether we have contributed enough to the society in different ways so as to prove that we are proud of the society.

I & E: Unexpected succeses and failures

Everyone has many unexpected successes and failures, including me. These are examples of my unexpected successes and failures.

My unexpected success: When I went for Triathlon, I was overwhelmed by the amount of participants present. They included many races from different countries as the competition was international. In the end, I obtained the 25th place in the race amongst 200 over people! I was very happy and this was quite unexpected.

My unexpected failure: When I was selected for sports day run, I thought I could run at least the 3rd place in the 8 runners, but in the end I finished the race at 5th place. The other four runners could run very fast but I could not manage to overtake them.

This is my unexpected success and failure.
